The Telugu film industry has woken up to another loss today – lost a good director come human being on March 12th morning. Director of the hit movie “Satyam” Surya Kiran, aged 48 years, breathed his last in a hospital in Chennai today. His close ones confirmed the news of his death on Twitter and reported the cause of death as Jaundice.
Surya Kiran’s Personal Life And Career
Surya’s parents are from Thiruvananthapuram, while Surya was born in Chennai on September 7th, 1974. His parents are T. S. Mani and Radha. He was brought up in Chennai along with his younger sister Sujitha Dhanush. Sujitha is also a renowned actress in Telugu and Tamil television. Surya was married to Kalyani (known as Kaveri), who is also a an actress, fame of “Avunu Valliddaru Ista Paddaru.” She mainly acted in Malayalam and Telugu films.
Surya Kiran’s Career
Along with direction, Surya Kiran also gained wide popularity at an early age in Tamil and Telugu films as a child actor. He was cast in 200+ films under the name “Master Suresh” then. Some of the films he acted as Master Suresh are Snehikkhan Oru Pennu in 1978, Kadal Meengal in 1981, Mangamma Sabadham in 1985, 1987 film Manithan, 1987 movie Swayam Krushi and Khaidi No 786 in 1989.
As a director, Surya Kiran made a debut with the film Satyam in 2003. Satyam was a huge hit that ran successfully for 150 days. Surya received widespread recognition as a different and promising director in his first movie itself. After Satyam Surya directed some other films as well in the Telugu industry. He also participated in a Telugu reality show – Big Boss in season 4. Unfortunately, Surya got evicted in 2nd week itself.
